CALIFORNIA RE-DISTRICTING 2011
Los Angeles County is still the state's largest county and continues to be home
to a tremendous diversity of Californians, whereas ethnic groups populations are:

The Asian American population grew from 1,137,500 to 1,345,149
for an increase of 18.3%

The African American population declined from
930,957 to 856,874, a reduction of -8%
-
The Hispanic American increased from 4,242,213 to 4,687,889,
an increase of more than 10%
The 47th AD is now called the 54th AD and
will include the Los Angeles County communities of Century City.
