ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR OPPOSING SAME-SEX MARRIAGE
Proposition 8 back in court It's another battle for marriage in California
-- this time involving the ballot title for Proposition 8, which would overturn homosexual "marriages." California's Attorney
General Jerry Brown has given a biased title and summary to the marriage amendment, apparently trying to defeat it.
When
the California Marriage Protection Act was circulated for signatures earlier this year, the title given it by Brown was "Limit
on Marriage." Brown also wrote a summary description: "Amends the California Constitution to provide that only marriage between
a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California."
But that was then and this is now. On May 15, the California Supreme
Court invented homosexual "marriages" out of thin air. On June 16, marriage licenses began to be distributed to homosexual
couples. So, on July 3, Attorney General Brown, the state's most powerful Democrat politician and former governor (1975-1983)
"Eliminates Right of Same-Sex Couples to
Marry. Changes California Constitution to eliminate the right of same-sex couples to marry. Provides that only marriage between
a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California."
Jerry Brown, who wants
to be California's next governor (his last stint was before the 1990 term limits law), apparently wants to satisfy homosexual
activists. By using the "bad" word "eliminate" and the good word "right," Brown seems to be doing all he can to try to keep
homosexual "marriages" as role models for children.
Whatever
the outcome of the court case on the ballot title and summary, your mission and mine remain the same: turn out as
many people as possible to vote YES on Proposition 8 to reserve marriage licenses for a man and a woman in the California
Constitution. Voter turnout strongly passed the first marriage measure on California's ballot (Proposition 22 in 2000); voter turnout can do the same for Proposition 8 to override the California Supreme Court's awful decision.
Also, Yes,.. California schoolchildren will learn about homosexual 'marriages' When Proposition 8 said in its
ballot argument that, without its passage on the November ballot, California schoolchildren as young as kindergarten would
be indoctrinated to support man-man and woman-woman "marriages," the homosexual activists became livid and said it was a lie.
But the negative effect on little children is true.
According
to the California Education Code, however marriage is defined must be taught as fact to children in California's government
school system:
"[C]omprehensive health
education programs" are defined as all educational programs offered in
kindergarten and grades 1 to 12, inclusive, in the public school system, including in-class and out-of-class
activities”…"Pupils will receive instruction” on “the legal and financial aspects and
responsibilities of marriage and parenthood."

county passed the Marriage Proclamation? Do you want to sit and watch as homosexual activists get cities and counties to officially go
on record opposing Proposition 8, the California Marriage Amendment? Of course not. But that's what will happen if we
just do nothing. In July, both the cities of Los Angeles and Laguna Beach voted to oppose protecting man-woman marriage.
This is a shame, especially since there are many more communities that support real marriage than oppose it.
It's
time to get busy. Please take the Marriage Proclamation, written by Campaign for Children and Families, to your pro-family city councilmember
and your pro-family county supervisor. Ask them to introduce it and pass it to endorse Proposition 8. If you don't know which
city councilmembers or county supervisors are pro-family, ask around. Passing the Marriage Proclamation will put your community
on record for real marriage between a man and a woman, and will rally more voters to vote for Proposition 8.
Act now to uphold marriage

do in response to an aggressive, immoral stand by a government-regulated energy corporation?
Pacific
Gas and Electric (PGE), which has a virtual monopoly on providing electricity and natural gas to Northern California, the Central Coast, and the Central Valley, has announced it has donated a quarter of a million dollars to defeat Proposition 8, the California Marriage Amendment.
....ALERT: Oppose 'Harvey Milk Day' in schools
and death by dehydration The final month of legislative activity in California begins August 4, when the California Assembly
and State Senate return from vacation. Your help is needed to oppose two bills that promote homosexuality and destroy human
life.
Please take immediate action to oppose AB 2567, which would require California government schools celebrate "Harvey Milk 'Gay' Day."
If passed, AB 2567 would be an onerous law on top of other homosexual indoctrination laws (SB 777 and AB 394). This bill would mean in-your-face homosexual-bisexual-transsexual
"education" every May 22 to children as young as kindergarten. AB 2567 is on the floor of the California Senate and could
be voted on as soon as Monday, August 4
